“The last Chance Foundation” The Last Chance Foundation is a Foundation partly in trade, established 1. of July 2000. The Foundation is organized with employees, a board and an advisory council. The objects clause of the foundation is to work for preserving biodiversity. This is part of our constitution. We have developed a method for woodland key habitat inventories, “the last chance method”. Read more about this method on this page. Last Chance Foundation has been working with biodiversity for more than 10 years. We offer biological expertise, and our object is to deliver products based on the best available knowledge. Every year we present publications such as project reports, articles and notes. All our employees have biological education on a master-degree level. We possess expertise on topics like forest ecology, biodiversity in cultivated land, vascular plants, wood-inhabiting fungi, lichen, birds, mammals, reptiles and invertebrate zoology. We offer services within biodiversity-mapping, consequence-investigations, preparation of mangement plans, professional advice in environmental management, GIS-productions, and preparation of information material. A main focus in our work is to provide a maximum amount of biological field data within the economical limits of possibility. From January to May the foundation arrange around 5 afternoon seminars on different biodiversity topics with invited lecturers. We also arrange a few afternoon and weekend excursions during May and June. Our office are situated in Oslo. The office are normally served between 09.00 a.m. og 15.00 p.m. If the office is not served, please contact the employees on home office or cell phone. During the field season from may-october the office are only sporadicly served. |
